The Color Of The Year MARSALA Sephora Blush and Eyeshadow swatches and reviews

Every year Pantone Universe picks a color of the year and this year it is Marsala. A brown nuetral rose hued color. To me it's a maroon color.
So Sephora comes out with makeup items in the color of the year and I have two of them to review today.
Both can be found at Sephora in store and online but don't wait to long these are limited edtion.
The eyeshadow palette retails for $39 and the blush palette retails for $28.

I really adore this eyeshadow palette! It is packed full of mostly warm toned colors and a few other eyeshadows colors that would comnpliment the Marsala shades.
It has twenty five shades in the palette and I have swatched all them below
with going left first row to the last row.

I'm a blush girl at heart and so I knew I had to pick up this blush palette. I usually wear deeper colors on my cheeks so I knew I would be using this palette all the time. They include a highlight in this palette and it has a light pink sheen to it. I wish it would have been a more golden sheen because the blush is so warm toned that it could look odd with a light pink glow. It also comes with a light peach blush which is quite sheer and can be used to top the Marsala shade to make it more wearable on many skintones.
If I had to describe the color of the Marsala blush it would be that it looks very similar to the benefit dallas blush shade.

Overall I love the two items I've picked up and have used both every time I do my makeup.
If your looking to wear the Marsala trend these items are a one stop shop because it can give you so many variations of the shade. One day you could do a intense maroon eye and the next just a wearable light sweep of color on the lid.

What are your thoughts on the color of the year Marsala?
