NEW Colour Pop CHEEKS review and swatches

Wow just when you thought Colour pop couldn't get any more awesome they up and come out with blushes! When the blushes landed on their site it crashed and for days I couldn't get through to order them but when I could I was so happy and picked up these four blushes.
The blushes come in two different finishes matte and satin.
The color range of the cheek colors are so versed. They have light colors all the way to neon colors. As you can see I picked up the more neon and darker colors.

If Barney was a blush color it would be "Homie" (Matte). When I saw this I had to get it. It's such a unique funky color that I've never had or used before. I mean a purple blush. yes please!
In the pan it looks like it should be an eyeshadow instead of a blush but when applied it is a beautiful magenta color with undertones of purple.

"Pie" (Matte) is such a bright neon barbie pink color. The first time I applied I used to much so just be light handed with this blush and you'll have a flushed look to your cheeks.
This blush definetly packs a punch and will most likely be the focal point of your makeup which I feel like hardly any blushes can say that.

"Fruit stand" (matte) looks like a reddy coral color. I can see myself wearing this color for the upcoming summer! It's one of those colors that could go with so many eye shadow looks.
This is the color you reach for when you want a peach cheek with a kick.

So far "Tonic" (matte) is my favorite. It looks so good on my medium skintone. I can already tell that this will be my EDB (Every Day Blush).
If you enjoy a bright orange as me then be sure to get this!

So let's talk about how to apply these. The instruction card says either with fingers or with a synthetic brush. I use my elf blush brush so be sure to find out which method works best for you.

Overall these are unique blushes that have already found a place in my makeup collection. These colors are ones that I haven't tried out in any other makeup brands before.
All the blushes can be found on Colour pop.com

Ulta 2015 birthday gift! Beauty Insider gift

Every year Ulta picks out a free birthday gift that they give away to their beauty insiders on their birthday.
This year is Ulta brand eyeshadow palette in "Indie". It has a $12 value.
If your wondering how to become a ulta beauty insider here are the steps.
  1. You can sign up for their rewards program online or in person and be sure to include your birthday.
  2. Next during your birthday month they will send you an email with a coupon for this eyeshadow palette
  3. Then take the coupon to the store to redeem it or put the code in online to recieve the palette.

This palette four shadows and one powder eyeliner. This is a full size palette.
Now I was super excited to try this out. The colors look so promising and beautiful nuetral shades. So when I tried it out today the shades all blended out muddy and I actually used three shadows in the look above but it looks like I used one. The shades are not very pigmented at all and the top right one doesnt even have any powder pay off. The shades are hard feeling to them and I had to re layer and layer to get any pigment.

Here are the swatches that barely show up.

I wasn't fond of these shadows but maybe you will be. It just depends because if you like light sheer colors then this would be perfect.

The Color Of The Year MARSALA Sephora Blush and Eyeshadow swatches and reviews

Every year Pantone Universe picks a color of the year and this year it is Marsala. A brown nuetral rose hued color. To me it's a maroon color.
So Sephora comes out with makeup items in the color of the year and I have two of them to review today.
Both can be found at Sephora in store and online but don't wait to long these are limited edtion.
The eyeshadow palette retails for $39 and the blush palette retails for $28.

I really adore this eyeshadow palette! It is packed full of mostly warm toned colors and a few other eyeshadows colors that would comnpliment the Marsala shades.
It has twenty five shades in the palette and I have swatched all them below
with going left first row to the last row.

I'm a blush girl at heart and so I knew I had to pick up this blush palette. I usually wear deeper colors on my cheeks so I knew I would be using this palette all the time. They include a highlight in this palette and it has a light pink sheen to it. I wish it would have been a more golden sheen because the blush is so warm toned that it could look odd with a light pink glow. It also comes with a light peach blush which is quite sheer and can be used to top the Marsala shade to make it more wearable on many skintones.
If I had to describe the color of the Marsala blush it would be that it looks very similar to the benefit dallas blush shade.

Overall I love the two items I've picked up and have used both every time I do my makeup.
If your looking to wear the Marsala trend these items are a one stop shop because it can give you so many variations of the shade. One day you could do a intense maroon eye and the next just a wearable light sweep of color on the lid.

What are your thoughts on the color of the year Marsala?

Daiso Japan Haul! everything was $1.50 each makeup holders, makeup, gloves

The Daiso store couldn't sell stuff I didn't want. My style of items I love our usually girly pink frilly stuff and for $1.50 their so affordable. Everytime I try looking for makeup storage items their always expensive are are usually not that cute.
At Dasio I found the cutest makeup brush holders that were so affordable.

lipstick "tea rose", blush "02"

I also decided to pick up some makeup items.
I got a lipstick in tea rose. I couldnt test out the lipstick in store so I didn't know how it would look. When I did apply it to my lips I noticed a coconut smell that was so overwhelming I had to wipe it off but the smell still stayed on. I wonder why it was so powerful.
I don't know how I'll be able to wear it becasue of the smell but it is a rerally nice pink color.
The blush in number 2 turned out to be a bright straight up red color as you can see I'll have to apply it very lightly.

Okay as soon as I walked in the store I knew I would be getting these gloves. I don't know any other place where I could get cute heart gloves for only $1.50. They feel so nice and I have been wanting a pair of heart gloves but haven't found them anywhere else.

I set up the makeup holders in my room and they fit in so perfectly!

elf Jasmine beauty book A whole new world

This is Elf's latest beauty book release. This book can be found at your local walgreens for ten dollers. It comes with eyeshadows, blush and bronzer and lipgloss plus other items. It has just  hit the stores so be sure to get it out before it sells out. I checked mine today and this was the last beauty book they had there.
Not only is this palette a great value but the packaging is so gorgeous as well. It has Jasmine on the front with gold design inlay.

abu,rajuh,lago

The first three shades are the biggest of the shadows and they look like good browbone and transition shades.

Jasmine,genie,aladdin,jafar

royal palace,forbidden treasure

The blush in this palette isn't very pigmented so it's more of a light highlighter shade.
The bronzer is a warm medium brown shade.
Both of them are powdery.

This is the lipgloss name is magic carpet. the color is a sheer berry shade. It did not feel sticky on my lips what so every.

The book also comes with a foldable cover that shows a face chart you can create with the shades.
The left side is called Arabian days and the right is called Arabian nights.

This beauty book is a great value for your money. The products are powdery but most are pigmented.
I mostly bought this item because this was one of my favorite princesses growing up so it was of a novelty for me.
I have a makeup room so this will look so nice on a shelf in my room.

Too faced under the mistletoe holiday 2014 lipstick trio

Isn't this the cutest lipstick set ever?!
Maybe not the cutest Ever but it is something drool worthy this holiday season. It is too faced "Under the mistletoe" trio of their le creme lipsticks. These are three shimmery limited edtion shades from them ,only to be found in this set.
You can probably still find this at Ulta for $28 dollers. That is an amazing price considering each of their le creme lipsticks retail for $22 dollers each. So if you could purchase them each on there own it would cost you $66 dollers. So the value is very crazy good because unlike so many other holiday sets swirling around these are Fullsize lipsticks. Not tiny sample sizes.
It also comes with a cute pink sparkly bag that fits the lipsticks in.
How cute!

naked dolly, spice spice baby, shimmering marshmallow bunny

This is the shade "marshmallow bunny".
It is my favorite out of the three lipsticks because it the perfect pink lipstick for me. It's a warm toned pink shade with gold glimmer sheen to it.

This shade is"Naked Dolly".
It is a super pale nude color. It is the least pigmented out of the three. To the point where it almost looks like I'm wearing a gold lipgloss.

Finally there is this shade "Spice Spice Baby"
It is the like the color it says. A brown toned mauve color.
This one is nicely pigmented.

If you don't have these run don't walk to the nearest Ulta. If your okay with having a shimmery gold toned lipstick hue on you then by all means this is made for you.I love shimmer and so shimmer in my lipstick was perfect. I don't think theres a makeup product that I wouldnt mind being shimmery.
