NYX butter gloss review

If you've ever wondered about the nyx butter glosses then I'm so glad your here. I'll talk about the colors I have, the wear of them, and the consistency.
So let's first talk about the colors I chose. I bought four neutral soft shades that I knew I would wear.

CREME BRULE

First up is my favorite and the one I wear most. It is a beautiful light baby pink nude color. It is a more sheer color so on the lips it is a light wash of color. This color goes with any eyeshadow look i wear.
TIRAMISU

Tiramisu is my second favorite butter gloss. It's a mauve nude that shows more pigmented on the lips. It looks good with a smoky brown eye.

Peaches and Cream

Now this is a statement gloss if I've ever seen one. From the name I would have expected a nude peach color but it is a bright orange color. It sheers out on the lips but it still shines bright on the lips. I would pair it with a a tad eyeliner and your good to go.

Last in one I wanted to try so bad. It's called merengue and I thought it would be the perfect lilac lipgloss but it actually turns more pink on my lips. I do not know why it does that but I wish it would have stayed a lilac color. I would pair it with a light gold eyeshadow look.

So the wear is pretty decent. Atleast an hour of wear. I do notice I can't layer the lipgloss over lipsticks. When I tried it made the lipstick patchy under neath. Thats probably the only con I can think about it.

The consistency is not sticky at all. It is soft and applies even to the lips. It actually makes my lips softer.

So they're a great addition to anyones lipgloss collection and the vanilla scent just makes it even more desirable.

L.A girls Lip paint GLAZED review of six colors

L.A Girl lip paint has recently come out with lip paints said to be liquid lip color with shine. They come in a lot of different of colors. I bought this set on ebay and it came with the bright colors of the collection. I usually wear nude beige colors on my lips but I want to try out other colors for a change. These colors are really intense bright colors. Exactly what the name is because it looks like bright paint. The colors are opaque and bright. People will see your lipstick before anything else. So most of the colors are out of my comfort zone.Especially the orange one which looks like bright neon solid orange on.

  1. The first on is called "hot mess" an orange color that is a straight up bright orange color that is almost a neon shade
  2. next is "pin up" a ruby red that is not as opaque as the rest but I can totally see myself wearing it for the holiday season
  3. "babydoll" is a true white pink barbie color

  1. "bombshell" is a magenta hot pink color
  2. I got this set mostly because I wanted to try out a purple lipstick but "coy" is a tad to dark for me. It looks too intense on my lips. With my big lips colors can look too funny.
  3. out of the colors"blushing" is my favorite because it is a mauve that looks very well suited for me
  4.

This is the applicator it has.
The formula is quite watery so be careful not to squeeze to hard. The consistency is of a watery lipgloss. it is not thick like a lipstick.

I think I would like these better if I had gotten them in natural nude shades. I just don't have the courage to go out of the house wearing neon orange lips.
If you like mega intense colors I think these would more than impress thats why I think in the future I'll want to get there more natural shades.

Halloween Diva Eye shadow look Elf beauty book Diva collection

I love these beauty book! Look at how nice the swatches came out. For my eyeshadow look I used
the gold in the corner of the eye and lid and the silver in the crease. Too add color to the look I used the purple blue shadow on the lower lash line. It came out so great and impressed with the shadow.
This one has great neutrals and colorful shadows.

I love how Elf decided to come out with these palettes for the halloween season. If you can go try to pick them up. The shadows are great quality!

Colour Pop queen for a day haul and "Frida" lipstick review

I have been wanting to try out colour pop items for so long so I bought the "queen for a day" set,"game face" super shock shadow and"frida" lipstick.
First of all they win the award for best packaging and not just because the packaging is beautiful but when they shipped it they put it in another box so it was extra secure. They also put bubble wrap and wrapping material over everything making sure everything is securely packaged.

They also put a handwritten note in the box. So cute!!

I think I found my new favorrite shadows! They are such great colors included in the kit. It is 5 indivdual shadows and bae and shameless are a duo. Theres not one shadow I don't like. They are so metallic and exactly what I like. Each shadow feels like a creme and comes out with maximum pigmentation. I used all these sahdows to create the eyelook above in the picture.
  • the lid: was "sequin" and all on the bottom lash line
  • for the liner: I used "bae" over a black liner
  • for the crease: I used"shameless"
  • for the highlight: "girly"
  •

This is the other pigment I got which is called "Game face"
To me it reminds me a true metallic bronze color. This is the type of color I would use on the lower lash line.

I had to pick up this lipstick in "Frida" the day it launched because the creator of the color was none other than coffeebreakwithdani from youtube. She said it is the perfect peachy pink nude lipcolor. It is in the satin formula. Since I love peach and pink nudes I knew I would love this color and it is truly the color of life.
When I'm going to do a quick errand out of the house I don't usually wear makeup but I do put on this lipstick and somehow I look more put together. It's a confidence booster that I love.
The staying power is very good especially while drinking coffee and eating. I could see myself rebuying this lipstick as soon as I run out. It's the only color I've been wearing out of the house and just as she said it is the perfect go to color.

So if you couldn't tell I really enjoy all the products I bought and will be looking forward to getting more.

Too Faced Everything Nice holiday 2014 limited edition palette

So the holidays are coming early well atleast to makeup companies they are. This pallete released in September and I knew I had to get it early this time because last year I tried waiting till December to get the Too Faced 2013 palette and it was sold out. So I picked it up days after it was released and have been testing it out ever since.
The palette contains twenty eyeshadows, two blushes, one bronzer, highlighter, three piece blush set, mascara, and a glitter makeup bag.

Since there is so many shadows I decided to showcase four of my favorite light colors and then five of the darker colors. The top two shadows are my favorite eyshadow duo.
  • The first is called"Shiny Happy" and that is highly mettalic pigmented white gold, perfect for inner corner highlighting.
  • Next is "Be You" which is a matte lavender hue.

  • Next row are both shimmer shades. "Marvelous" a glittery light baby purple. It is a sheer wash of color.
  • The one to to the right of it is "Don't settle" a tan brown glitter.

Now this palette also had some really great deeper colors that I will use on so much looks.
  • The first color I'll talk about is "Head over heels" a ultra chuncky glittery sheer blue color. It does need multiple coats to achive a deep color.
  • The very top color is"Knock out" a deep matte chestnut color
  • The one below that is"Secret Lovers" a green brown shimmer shade
  • "Kindness is free" is a pretty cool tone barbie pink
  • My Favorite dark shadow is"Girly" a duo chrome which is a beige pink color which speaks of green. It is an interesting color for sure.

On to the bottom half of the palette. It hold two blushes that I wish had deeper pigmentation. there also alittle powdery when applied. So I usually just end up using what ever other blush I have. The colors are a pink and a peach color.
The chocolate soleil bronzer is on the lighter side of bronzers too. I have to pack on the color to see it show up.
You'll also learn that I love highlights and wear one everyday because it gives the face a glow and so youthful. So when I saw that the palette had a highlighter I got  so excited. I like highlighters that are pigmented so I'll just need a swipe and I'll be done. Well the one in this kit is quite sheer so it takes me quite a few swipes to get any color.

Also included is a deluxe size too faced mascara. I use it everyday and dont see a big difference in any other mascara I have. I apply another mascara over it so it doesnt flake off.

Overall I'am very pleased with this set and happy I could get my hands on it. The shadows are insanly pigmented and great color selection. It has a great mix of neutral and more colorful colors. Just Great quality you expect from Too faced cosmetices.

elf Vampire beauty book Halloween special limited edition makeup

Elf released new limited edition halloween beauty books and out of the three I picked up the Vampire beauty book. It was only six dollars and with all the things in it the six dollar price tag is a steal. I'm so impressed with this palette! The shadows are not powdery and their really pigmented. If your looking to be a Vampire for halloween or just want a vampy fall look then this is something you need in your life! I can see myself using this pallete for an everyday look and more dramatic look this fall. I don't think I've been this excited for a palette this inexpensive before. It comes with false lashes, eight eye shadows, eyeliner, eye shadow applicator, and pinky red lip color.

The first four swatches of the shades are swatched without primer and even without it their so pigmented. The first row of shadows is more of an everyday look with neutral burnt orange true neutral hues. I would give this row a A + for being pigmented and so easy to blend. my favorite out of the three is the third one which is a gorgeous burnt orange with just the slightest gold glimmer.

This next row is filled with dark vampy colors. These shadows have more glitter in them. Just as pigmented at the top row too. You could use these shades to darken up any eye shadow look. My favorite is dark navy blue becasue its dark enough to really brighten eyes.

This lipgloss doesn't have a name so I do not know if it is part of the regular elf lip color collection. It's a nice glossy pinky red color. It doesn't seem to be as opaque but instead of a glossy color.

So even if you arn't being a being a Vampire for Halloween you should still pick up this set because it's the perfect fall pallette. You better hurry to because it's limited editon.

E.L.F Snow White The fairest of them all Beauty book

This beauty book is sold at Walgreens. This makeup kit contains 7 eyeshadows, one eyeshadow priner,eyeliner,2 brushes, peach blush and red lip color. With all of that I was so surprised to see it was only $10! If you're like me your looking at all of the upcoming holiday makeup palette you know what most are $50 and up. So getting this paltte gave me the fix I needed at a cheap price. This was the last one at my walgreens so you might want to head out and pick it up because it is limited edition.

If you ask me for the over all quality of the paltte is a 6 out of 10. It's good enough for me to reccomend it to you if your wanting to try out. The shadows are more powdery then the regular elf shadows I've tried to the point where you need to pat the eyeshadow on your lid to get the best color pay off.

These are the first three colors swatched for you.
  1. "I'm wishing" is a bright white pigmented stark white shadow. No glitter comes through when applied. So perfect for the highlight.
  2. "Diamond Mine"  is a yellow gold and on the side of a metallic formula which is nice but it can easily be buffed out to were you can't see the color anymore
  3. "Heigh-ho" is a rose gold muted color that is the leaset pigmented out of the bunch
The next four shadows are quite colorful.
  1. "Yodel" Is a silver gunmetal metallic with pretty good pigmentation
  2. "One song" Is a chocolate brown with small gold glitters
  3. "Enchanted forest" Is a true forest green color
  4. "My Prince" looks more pigmented in the pan almost like a dark blue purple but when applied it is actually a light lavender color
The next portion of the kit comes with a eyeshadow primer, eyeliner and eyeshadow brush. I have to tell you I'am in love with the eye primer but the eyeliner and the eyeshadow applicator arnt my favorite. I just don't use the wooden eyeliners because they usually hurt on the water liner and I have so much more that I already use.
The last parts of the beauty book is the "Keep Singing" peachy blush. I swatched it on my hand and it is just to powdery and light for me to wear.
The Lip color is out of this world though! I've never given Elf's lip colors a try so I didn't know what to expect but The pigmentation and long lasting quality of the lip color is immaculant. The lip color is in brett and when I run out of this I will definetly be going back to the store to but this color. It is defietly something Snow White would wear and I think they got the color dead on. It is shiny and opaque and not patchy at all.
Elf did a great job of putting together a kit that really reflects something that Snow white would rock.

Once upon a time... The fairest one of them all was you. And you lived happily ever after...
